References: Mining – one of our key competences right from the start
In the mining industry the safety standards for dedusting, ventilation and climate control are extreme – which is why underground mining without CFT’s innovative solutions is unthinkable.
Our systems are used in all types of mining – for example in coal, potash, salt, gypsum and other minerals, diamonds and precious metals. De-dusting, ventilation, air heating and cooling and methane drainage are all key competences of CFT for the mining industry.
CFT de-dusting systems are used in all underground production processes: in development, at the production face, during the transport and processing of the product as well as in the supply of bulk materials. We have already designed, built and delivered almost 1,500 turnkey de-dusting systems.
We can also call on decades of experience in the field of ventilation. Since 2001, we have placed more than 2,000 Korfmann fans in the market for main and secondary mine ventilation – from the design stage through to site delivery. Before CFH became a shareholder in the newly-formed company Korfmann Lufttechnik GmbH in 2001, the predecessor, Maschinenfabrik Korfmann, had already placed more than 30,000 systems in mining and tunnelling applications during a company history of more than 120 years.
Our portfolio also includes numerous successfully completed projects for air heating and cooling systems in the mining industry. These range from single heating or cooling units with a capacity of up to 3MW each or complete systems with capacities exceeding 30MW.
Our comprehensive expertise also enables us to implement projects for methane drainage. Our own CFT expertise is complemented by the 30 years’ experience of our partner, Brockhaus Lennetal GmbH. Methane drainage rates up to 30,000 Bm³/h are possible.
